At Takshashila Vidyapith, we strive to provide a comprehensive education to students, keeping in view the country’s rich cultural heritage and cultural background while inculcating a scientific temperament, thus opening vistas for multifaceted development of the child’s personality.

 

We are very much aware of the need to provide a fabric for inculcation of food habits and moral values, besides academic excellence and intellectual development. Thus the endeavour is to instil in the child positive attitudes, absolute values, a team spirit, self-respect, punctuality and above all a sense of compassion for fellow human beings. We believe that education is a tri-polar process where there is equal participation of the school, students and parents. A continuous interaction between all three is the key to success of good education.

 

The almanac is thus designed to act as a medium, providing an effective means of communication between parents and teachers, so that its scope is extended .

 

For any educational institute that hopes to attain and maintain success, excellence must not merely be destination to arrive at, but a way of travelling. In its attempt to maintain excellence, Takshashila Vidyapith requires the constant support and participation of the parent community. It is your encouragement that motivates us to do better and better in days to come.

Parents and teachers are universally recognized as the two primary formative influences on a child, the home and school being the child’s primary areas of activity. It is imperative, therefore that constant interaction between the two partners be maintained. I hope that this student’s handbook will function as a bridge of communication between the parents and teacher communities to ensure the holistic development of the child.
