​ACADEMICS
The academic block of Takshashila Vidyapith comprises of the classrooms, the laboratories for Science Mathematics, Computer and Social Sciences along with the Smart Class section. In addition the school has separate section for the Art and Craft, Music and Performing Art.
The classrooms are equipped with standard two-seater desk, high quality black and green boards and as well as cupboards for class teachers. Each classroom has sufficient space to accommodate 40 students (the maximum limit sit for one section of a class). There are separate clean and hygienic washrooms both for boys and girls and girls catering to their sanitary requirements. The entire school building is compliant to the firesafety norms and is ably equipped with firefighting equipments. Wide corridors, staircases and open lounges provide for hindrance free movement.
The play school block is separate. It has a colorful looks and numerous teaching and playing kits for the proper nurturing of small kids of Nursery and Kindergarten.
We have maintained a healthy student teacher ratio as per the guidelines of the education system. The teachers are adequately trained. Teachers of each and every faculty are kept updated to the changes brought about in the education system through various interactive programmes and seminars.
Science Block
Science block of our school is having Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics labs in its fold. All these laboratories are spacious and well equipped with the laboratory gadgets. The students are helped in their practical session by their respective lab assistants and the concerned Science teachers.
Computer Block
Going with the needs of modern education we have established a high tech computer Lab that consists of 44 computer systems, one for each student to sit at. Experts in Computer Applications are there to guide the students in upgrading their theoretical and practical knowledge in computers.
Digi-Smart Class Section
Adjoining the Computer block is the Smart class section which is equipped with advanced technology intractive board catering to the Audio-Visual demands for computer education. This class is designed to project prepared texts as well as allow the teachers to programme their own texts under digital teaching module.
In addition the students are also supplemented with the audio visual mode of study through LED Projectors and audio units in order to enable them learn better and in an enjoyable atmosphere.
Library
Takshashila Vidyapith has always laid great emphasis on inculcating the habit of reading in its students, right from the beginning. Run according to the norms of library science, school library has well stocked books on various subjects including books on entertainment and on competitive examinations. The library also has two separate Reading Halls.
A competent librarian guides the student to enjoy book reading. He helps to feed eager minds of the young students by giving them the right medium for knowledge and awareness in the form of exciting and informative books and magazines.
Multipurpose Auditorium
The Academic Block of the school is also having an acoustic compliant, state-of-art structure of magnificence, which is none other than our own Auditorium. It has the sitting capacity of 500 seats and the entire auditorium is air conditioned.
This auditorium is widely being for various school events and annual day celebrations.
